Valerie Fahren is an artist development specialist, top vocal coach in Los Angeles and record producer as well as an active performing singer-songwriter. In her 20-plus years in the industry, she’s worked with the likes of Edgar Winter, Neil Diamond, Juliette Lewis, the Queen of Style Daphne Guinness, Grammy award-winning songwriter-producers such as A&R Mogul Max Gousse and Andre Lindal (As Long as You Love Me, Justin Bieber) – to name a few.
As a Los Angeles Vocal Coach, Valerie works with beginners and children all the way to established A List Celebrities and working television/stage/studio performers. Her approach rapidly assesses an artist’s primary vocal issues and isolates the fundamental techniques to improve their vocal quality, control, strength and range. Her clients have performed with such artists as Chaka Khan, Jessica Simpson, Beck, and others, as well as in productions like “So You Think You Can Dance” and Disney’s “The Cheetah Girls”, TV, Stage and Film Icon Angela Lansbury, Grammy and Tony Award Winner, Jerry Herman and many more.
Valerie Fahren’s unique Artist Development Program addresses a range of skills and disciplines, personalized to each client, including vocal coaching and production, audition preparation, songwriting and music theory, record company pitch preparation, and effective promotion. Many of her students have booked TV shows, films, and secured recording contracts while on her programs. And for more than 15 years, she has produced a twice-yearly showcase, bringing her artists before hundreds of entertainment industry professionals which has resulted in record deals with Virgin and Geffen Records, starring roles in hit Broadway shows like The Falsettos, Les Miserables, and Saturday Night Fever, and general career acceleration.
Valerie’s own career as an artist started in her teens when New York City radio began playing an original song by her band Gypsy. She has starred in principal roles in Equity productions of Fiddler on the Roof, Carmen, and Three Penny Opera; recorded with The Wilson Sisters, Neil Diamond, Edgar Winter, New Age Artist David Arkenstone and Multi Grammy Award Winner and World Renowned Jazz Pianist Chick Corea; Valerie has also had her own songs recorded by many up and coming artists working on getting into the Record Industry.
